Born and raised in Philadelphia, Michael James Kelly is not only a multifaceted actor and director, but also a gifted writer whose ability to transition his role between roles is noteworthy. After graduating from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, he moved to New York City to take his education to the stage. He studied under the guidance of Susan Batson and Carl Ford at Susan Batson Studios, where he built the disciplined, yet versatile, foundation for his accomplishments thus far. Michael went on to work in commercials, television and off-Broadway productions in The City That Never Sleeps and beyond for over 6 years. After living out the New York minute hustle and realizing there was more to be accomplished in his journey, his lifelong love for film and eagerness to reside in the heart of the industry aligned, yielding a straight shot to Los Angeles in early 2012. And, needless to say, he never looked back.
